Through previous experience we have been made aware of the difficulties local residents have in accessing the internet either due to the lack of skills, equipment or wifi.

This makes it difficult for people to engage with other services such as housing, benefits, applying for jobs or attending events as many of them have now become digital by default

By providing training in basic IT we are giving people the opportunity to not only access these services but also provide them with the means to communicate easier with each other such as assistance with using emails and social media in order to stay in contact with friends and family.

There is a social element to this project that is needed and we have often become the only people that those living alone see on a weekly basis.
