Did you know that financial stress costs the UK economy £121 billion and 18 million working hours in time off work each year.
In this study by the Finance Conduct Authority there is a strong link between peoples’ financial circumstances and their overall well-being, with 90% of employers agreeing that performance at work of their employees is heavily affected by their worries about finance and if left unchecked, can directly affect attendance.
So the question is what can we do about this? The East Sussex Credit Union are working with employers directly to establish Workplace Savings Scheme in the county in order to improve the Financial Wellbeing of their employees.
